Kaare Holm possesses over 18 years executive and entrepreneurial experience building international and start-up companies. He currently leads the EMERGING GROWTH Enterprise Energy and Power Practice, partnering with Sr. Executives and Founders of energy-related division spinouts and technology start-ups, including Global Renewable Energy Partners and Renewable Energy Systems (RES). Expert in operations, market development, strategic alliances and entrepreneurship, Kaare has successfully built the strategies and implemented the plans that have lead to profitable exits for investors.

As an entrepreneur, Kaare co-founded several start-up companies including a renewable energy development company in Spain and internet-based enterprise software venture in the USA. Both companies remain in existence with the software company currently adapted for emergency response applications. Kaare’s entrepreneurial savvy in the renewable energy development company resulted in market development of 100 MW of wind power in Spain, a strategic alliance with an industry leader in turbine manufacturing, and a power purchase agreement with the Spanish national power company, Union Fenosa.

As an international executive, Kaare optimized operations, alliances and market development at globally expanding companies, including: Gamesa Eólica, a joint venture company with technology partner Vestas, the worlds largest wind turbine manufacturer; GREP, the global project development spin-out for NEG-Micon; HARDI Hartvig-Jensen, the worlds largest manufacturer and marketer of plant protection equipment; Alexander Proudfoot, a leading management consultancy; and DASAR, the leader in CEO-only high technology roundtable conferences globally.

Community leadership includes: Co-chair of the San Diego Telecom Council’s Wireless Content and Applications Special Interest Group; member of the San Diego Venture Group, UCSD CONNECT and the SDSIC and selected member of the GE Financial alliance partner network.

Mr. Holm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Marketing from the Niels Brock International Business College, Copenhagen, Denmark, and completed studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business to earn an International MBA from I.E.S.E., a top 3 European business school and the first Harvard Business School affiliate.
